Bringing the INOUE brand, made from high-quality lime
from Kochi, Japan, to the world
The mission of our International Business Group is to send Inoue Calcium Corporation's products, which are made from high-quality limestone from Kochi, Japan, and finished with reliable technology, to the world.
Currently, export sales are being made to 13 countries, with a further 11 countries being targeted for new sales channel expansion. In South Korea, in particular, we have established the joint venture IL&IN CO.,LTD. with a local company and have started local production and sales of additives for rubber resins at a newly established plant.
After starting our overseas business, we have realised that our products are in demand all over the world.
In addition, it is important that we have the skills to propose solutions, and not just as a 'product seller'.
For a long time, in expanding our sales channels in Japan, we have faced a wide range of customers and solved many problems hand in hand. This achievement has served us well in our overseas sales activities as well.
Overseas expansion is time-consuming
In addition, it is necessary to wait for the crop to be harvested in order to demonstrate its effectiveness through interviews, surveys, trials and verification in the field.
For this reason, our company has been active in receiving support from the JICA's Overseas Support for Small and Medium Enterprises Programme, etc., as well as in cooperation with local universities.

Accelerating deployment further by building on achievements and
establishing a structure
As our experience of overseas expansion increases, we accumulate know-how. We gain 'people-to-people links', an invisible asset, which invites unexpected new developments.
We also focus on developing internal systems to back up the sales activities of the International Business Group.
Sales offices and administrative departments are clustered in the Nankoku Office Park, a key air and land hub in Kochi, and a stockyard has also been established. A system is in place to ensure a stable supply of products.
As for human resources, we are actively employing a diverse range of sales staff with language skills, regardless of nationality.
Taking advantage of these initiatives and various opportunities, we plan to continue to expand overseas at an even faster pace, while growing together with local partners in each country.

Foreign nationals who have moved to Kochi are appointed as employees of the International Business Group, where they are able to make full use of their language skills.
In other departments, 'being able to distribute products we have worked on overseas' is a strength, which directly leads to the employment of excellent human resources.
In this way, we believe that another mission of ours is to 'improve the performance of the International Business Group and revitalise our hometown of Kochi'.
