The Company has developed a wide range of products using lime, starting with slaked lime for plaster, a traditional building material, through to ultra-pure calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide for medical and reagent use, special metal oxides and agrochemical ingredients.
In addition, with the aim of revitalising the agricultural sector, which it is deeply involved in through lime products, and its contributions to local communities, the company has developed an agricultural support system as well as launching a 'breeding business' to support the cultivation and sale of crops.
In 2010, a new tomato variety, Sweetear, was developed, and in 2016, Inoue Winery was established to brew grapes for wine within the group.

Since its foundation in 1884, Inoue Calcium Corporation has repeatedly taken on many challenges and has continued to grow to become the company it is today.
