MAC (Calcium soap/pre-treatment lubricant for wire drawing)
Wire drawing is an important process for the dimensioning and shaping of metalworking products, such as bolts and nuts used in construction and automobiles, by using a die to stretch the wire rod into thin strips.
To reduce the friction that occurs when the wire passes through the dies, the wire must be treated in advance with a pre-treatment lubricant.
Lime soap is widely used as one of these pre-treatment lubricants.
The lime soap coating applied to the wire surface has the following effects.
(ii) Carrier effect of lubricants
(iii) Lubricating effect of the calcium soap
(iv) Friction reducing effect of the calcium changing to fine particles
(v) Hydrophobic and anti-corrosion effect on the wire surface

MAC KP-20
Grade with enhanced rust-preventing effect. It prevents rusting that occurs between pickling and wire drawing.
It can also be used at high temperatures to speed up the drying of the Calcium soap film.
Like MAC KP-20, this is an emulsion-type product.

Introduction of 1-ton containers for refreshing the baths

The MAC KP-20 and MAC RF-20 are available with a 1-ton container as a special specification for use during refreshing baths.
The use of the 1-ton container is very effective in shortening the time and reducing the workload of refreshing bath.
